Overview:

Become a key part of a quickly growing, agile and full stack technology startup team that is building multiple products for multiple user types. Looking for someone passionate about delivering a quality product to market in an efficient, but thorough and process driven approach. This position will start as a 6 month right-to-hire position with Sigla, that will transition into a full time position with Anchor Technologies.

Job Summary:

Fill a key role within our team as a full time quality engineer responsible for the test case creation and execution on the public Anchor website, admin portal & mobile applications. Ideally this will transition into a leadership role as the company expands. This is a much more technical role than a typical Quality Analyst position. QE will be expected to analyze the product, but also understand all aspects of the front and back ends of the application. When bugs are found, the QE is expected to look into system logs, console logs, and ideally the code as well to investigate and troubleshoot. As we ramp up our efforts for automation testing, QE will be expected to take developed framework and test cases to next level and implementation.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Creation and execution of manual test cases for all Anchor products.
  • Execution of all new and existing regression test cases prior to product launch. Sigla currently launches new or updates to current products 2-3 times per month.
  • Internal production support for Anchor employees that are having issues with the applications.
  • Follow current agile process for QA testing, however we will be looking to this role for process improvements that will allow this role to be more efficient, without sacrificing quality.
  • Work with the BA team to understand the products UI in its entirety, at a very detailed level.
  • Should be able to understand the underlying product frameworks and how data flows through the application at a high level, but growing in level of understanding in time.
  • Will work with the development team on bug identification and resolution.
  • QE should be able to document steps to reproduce any bugs found, as well as any documentation, screen shots, and error counsel logs that occur.
  • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
  • Communicate test plan estimates to project team.
  • Participate in story grooming sessions in order to understand the product changes that are in process.
  • Continued advancement of automated test framework. Need to be capable of writing automated test cases.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 Years of experience in an IT field. Previous quality assurance analysis or computer programming experience desired.
  • Four year college degree in an IT related field of study. Candidates with equivalent education or professional experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to not only find but also troubleshoot issues in a technical environment.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, using Trello as a primary bug tracking tool.
  • Passionate about quality, but also understanding the advantage of quickly getting an MVP product to market.
  • Previous quality assurance analysis or computer programming experience desired
  • Ability to manage multiple products and adapt to changing priorities
